News: IT Protocols in place for COVID-19 Pandemic

Feb 5, 2024

When COVID-19 hit the United States in early 2020, shut-downs were mandated and only essential employees were required or allowed to work in-person. Middlesex South Registry of Deeds is one of those entities in the Commonwealth that was essential and did not close.

Register Curtatone immediately employed emergency IT protocols to keep the Registry functioning at full capacity, while keeping employees and constituents safe. A Registry-wide system, including at-home remote electronic recordings and revolving in-person recording staff, was implemented. The Register also immediately created safety measures for in-person drop-off of recording documents. Because emergency IT protocols were in place, the Registry continued its duties without interruption.

The COVID protocols were lifted as soon as it was safe for both employees and constituents.
